Privacy Policy

CurbOcular is a free community project. It is not a City of Chicago service and does not ask you to create an account. Questions can go to support@curbocular.com.

Use current location asks your browser for your position and sends those coordinates to this site so it can match a sweeping section. The site uses them for that search only. It does not save them as a profile. An address you type is used the same way: to look up the listed dates, not to build an account.

The sweeping schedule kept by the site is public City data. It is refreshed daily and is not personal information. Hosting logs may keep a request, including an address or coordinates, for a short time and then drop it under the host's usual log retention. We do not sell personal information.

The site sends Google Analytics 4 the page path, a cookie identifier, and general device information. The address you search and your coordinates stay in the page query string and are not included in that page path. Reports are used to see which pages are opened. Google describes its own handling at policies.google.com/privacy.
